Update

Well, life has taken a twist over the last month and a half or so.

Yann and I decided to end our 1.5 year relationship on the grounds that it was never going to go any further than what it was at. Our styles of living are just completely different - we get along fine together but when our friends and other aspects of our own personal lives come into play it turns complicated. I love this man with all my heart and probably will never stop but for now we've decided to remain friends, good ones at that. He's opened my eyes to a lot of new things, new things about myself, and has renewed a lot of doubts that I had about who I am - He's an incredible, genuine, loving and generous human being. I hope the next person that steals his heart protects and cherishes it like I do.

This change in life has sparked something in me that I don't think I've really ever seen. I've made a couple major changes in my life.

March 25th I put out my last cigarette and have not smoked since - I've finally gotten to the point where I can crave but deal with it without ripping heads off. I can't really say that I can feel the full effects of not smoking because of my allergies are so bad right now with the season change that I've been pretty congested and phlegmy inside, I haven't been able to taste or smell much the last couple of weeks but I'm sure that once all this is over I'll be pretty happy with the results. I didn't think I would be able to do this, but after 17 years of smoking and realizing that I've never actually tried with all my power to do it, I turned it into a challenge - put my mind to it, built it up with my friends, family, and peers that I was going quit - I left myself absolutely no room for failure and so far this has worked because I truelly have no desire to start smoking again. (I know I said this back in 2005 - but, for some reason, this time is different).

March 28th I joined 24 hour fitness and to date Ive lost 22lbs - Since I've been back Seattle from SF - I've gained nearly 80 lbs and this has just been devistating to my self esteem and overall attitude about life. Seattle does this to people which is why I left in 96 to go to SF, but after everything that went down with Leather Masters - I had no other altnerative but to come back. I probably could have found a way to stay in SF, but I was so distraut over all the events that I was flustered and wanted the easiest way out of the situation. I have a wonderful trainer at 24H named Nariska - she's about a 1/3 of my size and could probably bench press me several hundred times. Not only is she good with the workout but she also is a good friend having the abiliity to keep the friendship out of the workout.

And finally - the last major change that I've decided to make is to get back to California. The toughest part right now is deciding on which part - North or South.. If I move back to No Cal then its going to be SF - but there is a problem that, I'd have to leave the company I work for. The other alternative is So Cal (Costa Mesa) so that I could continue working for the same company I am now - I made mention of this move to my senior manager and she about had a cow, but offered to make the accomodations as needed if it kept me within the company. There is definately a lot more pulling me toward San Francisco - I certainly have a lot of friends there including jameth who I miss horribly. I have a townhouse to complete remodeling and have to get it sold before I make this decision. I have some time and probably wont make the change until January/Feb of 09.. but with life going as fast as it is lately, thats really not a lot of time.

I forsee myself posting a bit more as time goes on - I've spent the last couple hours reading back entries on my friends page seeing where everyone is - its nice to see people are still around and kicking and happy.

Attaching a few photos to update my look .. lol

So, Some of you may be wonderding where I've been over the last year or so.

The man to your left has stolen my heart and continues to amaze me with his warmth, love, understanding and support any man could ever hope for. I am only sorry I never met him sooner but I guess 8 years of being single was just a test to see how much I could handle before my life was turned upside down and rewarded. Yann and I met after a very lonely and emotional holiday season - we began talking on Bear411 the day after Christmas and met a few days after for sushi. Sparks flew, Fireworks shot sky high - it was a match and thank god for that. Next week will mark 7 months together :)

Yann is a smart, funny, charasmatic, charming, loving, adorable, talented and personable kind of guy and is loved by everyone. He is a brilliant musician, owning his own record label ( http://www.dragonseyerecordings.com ) he is respected and praised by anyone who comes into contact with his music. Besides being a musician, he's a brilliant artist both graphically and in his website design business. His website is http://www.yannnovak.com.

Besides being dazzled by this man - I have been working on getting my townhouse remodeled so I can sell at the end of 2008 and get something nicer... Yann and I have tossed around the idea of actually moving somewhere, another country maybe.. but we'll see about that.

Still in the mortgage business - recently promoted to a senior underwriter which gives me the ability to underwrite a more complex loan and well .. give out more money :)

I am still DJ'ing when I can - infact, you can see me at this years Stompin in da Woods 5 - I'll be playing a live set on the Stompelic stage. More info can be found at http://www.myspace.com/stompinindawoods

This is all for now - glad to see all of you are still around (I've spent the last 2 hours reading back friends entries, lol)

Goodbye Traz..

R.I.P.

For those of you who have been around my journal for many years knows how much I loved this cat - For many years he was all I had, he was my best friend and he knew everything about me, he knew things about me that nobody else on this earth knew.
Traz had been suffering from hyperthyroidism for the last year, the medications he was on was killing was killing his kidneys. About 4 weeks ago I was told that he had an inoperable tumor growing on his thyroid gland.. While he was still as chipper and meowy as he ever was I had to make a decision.
I laid him to rest at the Bellevue Humane Society on Sunday.
Goodbye Baby -- You brought me so many years of joy, you were there when I needed someone to cry to, you were there when I was lonely, you kept my bed warm and you brought joy to me every day of your life. I will miss you so much.. Love you kitten!! :(

R.i.P Lurch

WoW - This brings me WAYYYYY back to my life in San Francisco.

If you were even remotely somebody in the bay area, the name Lurch was very common to you.

I had the pleasure of meeting him when I competed in IBR 6 years ago and actually, way before that just in passing at the bars/bear events.. I just remember this very large hand coming up between my legs, being lifted off the ground about a foot and this big furry beard covering me and big lips wrapping around to give me a big kiss. He was a role model, a mentor, a pioneer and a great friend to me and everyone who came into his presence. He was a man of much wisdom, could talk or joke his way through any situation and a firm believer in a happy smiley face.

I am missing so much by not being in the Bay Area.. all my friends have moved on, don't really talk to many of them any more as everyone there lives..

Thank You and Goodbye my Friend.

This mall is like 40 mins away

(CNN) -- At least five people have been wounded in
a shooting at a shopping mall near downtown Tacoma, Washington, fire officials
said.

"At this time, the situation is still evolving," said Jon Lendosky, deputy
chief of the Tacoma Fire Department. "We're still right in the middle of
it."

Lendosky said five people had been sent to hospitals. But another fire
official, Lt. David Elmer, said earlier that eight people had been reported
hurt.

The shootings began at about 12:15 p.m. (3:15 p.m. ET), Lendosky said.

"There are still people in the mall, and we're on the scene with about 40
firefighters and about 15 units right now," he said.

Tacoma Mall is about four miles south of downtown Tacoma. No one was entering
or leaving the mall, which contains dozens of stores, Lendosky said.

A woman who answered the phone at one store said her manager told her police
had ordered a lockdown at the shopping center, and a police dispatcher said the
situation was "still in progress."

"We've got police on every corner here," said Joanne Woods, an employee at
Krispy Kreme, across the street from the mall.

"It's sad that people have gotten hurt, but it's a nice neighborhood," she
said.

This type of intelligence is closely linked to being 'street smart.' Theories and such are not much concern: the things that matter tend to be those which you can see, feel, touch - what you can really experience. This knowledge comes to you both out of a natural knowledge, as well as learning from the situations you find yourself in.

60% applied intelligence
20% learned intelligence

It's funny how we (the people of the internet) can completely make up what a person is all about in our heads, but yet, its never even remotely correct when the actual person is revealed.. yet, we continue to do it over and over :)
